Concrete Bursting is a noise-free, versatile and effective method of demolition.
Bursting is typically used for cracking deep sections of concrete where conventional breaking techniques would be difficult and time consuming.
Concrete bursting is also an ideal method when vibration and noise is prohibited such as within or near occupied dwellings, historic buildings, or structures especially sensitive to vibration.
Holes are drilled in the concrete structure, the burster is inserted into the predrilled holes and pressure is then applied to fracture the concrete.
The splitting takes place as the tongue moves along the wedges creating a mass force against the concrete and causing it to fracture.
This process is repeated until the entire structure has been fractured into manageable or smaller sections.
